Was just checking out the CBAI site, saw they did a pretty cool fundraiser for their juniors recently - a Golf tournament!
I think basically they got bridge players to enter as a team of 4, and pay an entrance fee. Now I've no idea how it would work since don't play golf but is it worth looking into?
And maybe even use a St Andrews course? maybe one nearer Glasgow/edinburgh would be a better idea though.

Firstly, Phil why were you on the forum on the 17th March?
Sounds like a good idea to raise money, everyone likes golf. Also, has the Scottish junior team ever tried to get sponsorship for events? If my college rugby team can get sponsored to go on tour to Amsterdam, then surely there must be a company that would sponsor some nice young bridge players to go to italy and play cards. There obviously would be slightly less publicity but of a better kind for a company. Bridge bulletins and website instead of mugshots and the dutch news.
