This weekend saw the U25 Frischmann pairs trophy and the Scottish Schools Teams take place in Blairgowrie.
Unusually for Scottish juniors there were 18 pairs on Saturday and 8 eligible school teams for the Sunday event!

1st - Yvonne Wiseman and Myles Ellison
2nd - Frazer Morgan and Phil Morrison - top schools pair
3rd - Andrew Sinclair and Alex Wilkinson
Scottish Schools
1st - Hutchesons' Grammar School A
2nd - Joint Kircudbright + Belmont (??) Team
3rd - Hutchesons' Grammar School B
It was really encouraging to see so many young players there and hope they'll keep playing. Although the standard wasn't very consistent it was a good fun weekend. Special congratulations to Yvonne who is just 13 - she carried Myles throughout. Many thanks to Joan Mercer for organising the weekend and all the adults (including David McCrossan) for helping out with scoring, board moving, transport and so on...
Hope to see some new faces on here now, maybe not but we'll see.
