I know a few of us are playing in this in Dumfries but i know very little about it.

Anyone got start times? Dress code for evening? etc.

Any info much appreciated.

I have a wee leaflet but nothing about the dress code. I'm assuming smart stuff for the evening as usual congress type thingy

Friday
6pm Reception in conference centre
6:30 Official opening and dinner
8:15 pairs Q, ahh fun random pairs
11:30pm - 4am Party in the VIP room for all those U25


Saturday
One long lie in
12lunch
1:30pm Congress fours (Garven Cup) Q
6:45 dinner
8:15 Congress Fours Final + Fours consolation(though none of us need to know the consolation runs at the same time )
Run rampant through CD, Market inn, the Crown

Sunday
9:45 Ladies and Gents fours (Boys Rule!)
1230 lunch
2pm Congress Pairs final & consol .
Presentation of prizes (afterplay)
9:15 Prize bridge night

Thanks Myles. Being able to finish before 7 is a lot better than 11:30, of course im failing to include time for the prize giving which we will just have to attend. Obviously. Well probably. If we're lucky. And all the other entrants die except the one giving out the prizes. And only if they didnt play.

PS If the presentation of the prizes is "afterplay" does that make the ladies and gents fours "foreplay"?

PPS Also i figure as the congress is being held in the south district i figure most of the people playing will be farmers. Thus the dress code will be causual as long as it invloves wool or leather in some way, preferably both.

(Im surprised no one thought this through logically just like I did and come to the obvious conclusion)

Thats all it says, so make of it what u will, shirt n tie me finks

So I'll be there baggy jeans and a hoodie, made of wool of course

Even if it's optional we should probably try and put on a good show for everyone so i think me and frazer will be the 'Kilted Krusaders' once again



Note: It was some other guy who called us that, not a self-penned name.

Its tricky to say crusaders with a K but that guy managed it anyway.
