AH then small to the JH I think.
This should guard against a singleton Q on either side or the worst case scenario of QTxx in either hand - e.g. after 1 round of hearts:

or
____J32
-_______QT8
____K95
Both will be picked up for one loser if a small heart is played towards the J.

The correct play for 1 loser is to play the Ace and then small to the 9. David's method also works well but is not optimum since it does not allow the suit to be played continuously.
