One of the Swedish players in the Open Team (Fredin is his name I believe) has been sent home for unacceptable behaviour towards his partner.
I wonder how unacceptable it had to be to get sent home - knowing the history of some of our partnerships then we must actually be quite mild people. Is it right to send someone home? Surely they should be given the chance to apologise and play again - there's still 11 matches left and his partner is now going to play a couple of matches with one of the other players.
Anyone else heard more or have an opinion on this?

I've heard rumors of the Sweedish players going home with Myles before but never this.
Sweeden are doing so well it would be suprising if they sent him home without allready having given him a chance to appoligise. Given what happens at some tables I feel it must be something physical for it to go outside of the team and gain publicity like this. The other option is that he suggested cheating his partner told the captain and thats that. Anything else im sure could be settled later once they had sat out the rest of the championship.
Fraz
(I had a quick look at the newspaper things but couldnt see anything on the incident hence the conjecture. If you know which one the event is covered in could you please post it)
