How does everyone here play the unusual 2NT over a 1minor opener?
I have always played it as showing the other minor and A major but i have recently been getting told more and more by people that "well i play it as the other minor and hearts". What does everyone think? I suppose that i had better change to what is being advised by those in the know and i can see the advantages of always knowing exactly what partner's suits are. Are there any changes after this?
Also, what does (1C) - 2NT - (P) - 3C now mean? Is this now asking how strong the unusual 2NT was? How would you reply to this?
Thanks in advance for your views!

Harold and I always play a michaels bid as showing the two HIGHEST suits and the unusual NT bid as showing the two LOWEST suits.
i.e.
(1S) - 2S shows hearts and diamonds (1C) - 2NT shows diamonds and hearts (1D) - 2NT shows clubs and hearts
Although this means you can't show every 5-5 hand type, it is very useful to know exactly what two suits partner has when the bidding leaps about to a high level very quickly. Also, you don't need fancy asking bids to find out what the other suit is.
(1C) - 2NT - (P) - 3C I think should be a game try, primarily in partner's lowest known suit. With a weak hand, partner would bid this suit at the three level, or with a strong hand partner should jump.
