I am looking for a partner to try to get into the scotland U25 squad. Im going to be 20 in june and am of a similar standard to some of england U20's. I live in edinburgh but i go to uni at oxford. My partner in oxford is MInesh SHah if any of you know him and we are of a similar standard. My bbo login is phil_20686 so anyone looking for a partner come and play with me, i spend quite a lot of time on there but not that much at the moment cause i have exams coming up. I;m quite committed to improving and happy to play most systems but i do want a partner who is willing to put in time and effort into improving/building a proper partnership. biggrin.gif

Hey man,

I'm in a steady partnership so I can't help you there but I live in Edinburgh if you want a game at some point. Give me a shout when you're next in town. Out of interest, where did you learn to play?

My BBO login is ajags but I only really go on to play with my regular partner Alex.

Andy

Well i learned to play at home, off my dad, who is a pretty fair player, but i only really started to play properly since about christmas last year, been reading a lot of books and playing a lot in oxford. I need more experience though.

Hi Phil and welcome,

It might be worth your while emailing Joan Mercer and introducing yourself. She is now responsible for the junior teams in Scotland and is always looking for new bodies.

If you are in and around Scotland next weekend (3rd/4th June), she is running an event in Blairgowrie for school kids which several of the U25s are going along to to meet up/help out.

I've sent you her email address by private message.

David
