Here is a hand that alex played very nicely in the trials.

AKJx

Qxxxx
KQ

How will you play 6S on the K of clubs lead?

EDIT: Fixed the south hand.

Very nice smile.gif
I don't think I would play this hand on any lead - South has only 11 cards wink.gif On the plus side it is probably two less losers to worry about biggrin.gif I must hold back from trying to answer this until I know what the other two cards are; they could be the AQ of clubs rolleyes.gif

Can anyone tell me how to edit my member title? Then I will change this to something more interesting since I know how to edit this. :)

The SOlution

The best line is to pickup any 4-0 trump break provided that the heartss are 3-2. So after ruffing the lead you cash two top hearts, provided these stand up you are home. So you now cash two top spades in dummy, and if trumps are 4-1 you must now play the top heart discarding a club [key play]. This means that a club return will not rob dummy of the necessary entries, as you can ruff high in hand and cross to dummy's last trump, and cash the remaining hearts.

I have made a bit of an epic fail in this in that i remember the solution, but there is something wrong with the hands, I'm pretty sure that the spade fit shoudl be 4-4. but then you don't have 12 tricks if the spades break 4-1, and if i give the hand another top diamond then you might choose to play on diamonds. Perhaps alex will correct the hands for me smile.gif
